The team at Abeeco and Manuka Honey of NZ share the ways they boost their immune system and stay healthy. With busy lives, bustling families, and deadlines to meet, there are constant pressures that can weaken our immune systems. Here are a few ways we, the team, support ourselves with all that we have on hand.

How does our team help their immune system?

“I walk my dog twice a day at the beach and always take Vitamin C, which is in my Ultra Collagen drink that I take all year around. Kylie (Customer Service)

“Getting outside as much as possible in the fresh air, and taking my Turmeric and Bee Pollen religiously” Caroline (Digital Marketing)

""Having a balanced diet, staying active, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and keeping up with good hygiene helps keep my immune system strong. Plus, I make sure to take my Bee Pollen capsules every day! Rae (Manager)

“My kids and I have Bee Pollen granules most days on our porridge. We also love taking MGO 350+ Manuka Honey by the spoonful as soon as we feel our immune system getting weak or we start getting a sore throat!” Sarah (Website Designer)

“Find ways to bring joy into each day with exercise, laughter, connection and delicious, nutritious food, and I take Turmeric, Manuka Honey and Blueberry regularly. I am also a liquid herb fan (being a herbalist) so I am currently enjoying Abeeco’s Immune Boost. Rebecca (Naturopath)

“I eat an antioxidant rich diet full of fruits and vegetables, and always add garlic and turmeric to my cooking. I also take a mix of Supabee for Women and Supabee for Energy to support my hormones and energy levels, as well as a daily Collagen drink”. Jude (Managing Director)

Other members of our team shared the following:

Going to the gym to do weights and having collagen drinks, and whey protein powder in my avocado rich smoothies.

Walking daily for at least 30-40 mins and taking Turmeric, Glucosamine and Chondroitin and Royal Jelly capsules, as well as keeping a calm mind and low stress.

These are some of the questions our Naturopath gets asked often:

Q: How can I help my immune system naturally?

A: Eat a diet rich in antioxidants, drink plenty of water, exercise for at least 30 mins daily and keep your stress levels to a minimum. These are simple and basic things you can do. Take a day of rest at least once per week, to enjoy nature and loved ones. And take a daily tonic, such as SupaBee for Energy or Bee pollen.

Q: How can I boost my immune system quickly?

A: Being well rested is your most powerful defence, so getting adequate sleep is essential. Follow the 9-930pm to bed and 6am to wake rule for cortisol and melatonin balance. Taking a sleep support may assist, such as our Stress and Sleep formula.

Q: How can I boost my immune system while sick?

A: Again, rest will give your body the time to recover, as well as taking nourishing broths, soups and honey drinks. Adding Bee Pollen to food will give you that extra nutritious boost to help get up and at it again quickly.
